Levitate offers the following types of classes:

Basics

Yoga rookie? Out of practice? No worries! Join us for a basics class and learn basic poses with a focus on aligning the body and connecting each movement to the breath. Great for learning fundamentals or jumpstarting your practice again!

Closed

If you see this on the schedule, it means the studio will be closed because of a holiday schedule. Enjoy the day off!

Level I

A great experience for strong beginners familiar with basic poses. Get introduced (gently) to inversions and playful arm balances to build strength and encourage flexibility.

Level I/II

A class for intermediate practitioners with at least a year of steady practice who want to challenge themselves with more difficult asanas. Learn deeper pose variations and gain confidence as you work toward transitioning into our Level II classes. Did someone say headstand?

Level II

Strong intermediates and advanced yogis with a consistent practice are welcome. Dive deeper into your practice with consistently more challenging poses. Classes are geared towards building strength and flexibility. Explore inversions, arm balances, and binds. Be prepared for headstand variations in the center of the room! Please honor your level, this class is not for new practitioners.

Level II / III

Iyengar classes Level II, III for the experienced practitioner. Explore unique sequences and family of asanas that are linked to a vinyasa, and advanced variations of inversions, arm balances. The classes are based on alignment and precision. Note: This class is for intermediate students, and not for beginners. It is important to respect safety and experienced practitioners.

Mixer

Mix up your practice a little! This vinyasa class is for students of all levels, however prior experience and familiarity with basic poses is highly recommended.

Mixer/Restore

Had a long day? Want to squeeze in some practice time? Treat your body with this unique class. The first half of class will be mixed level asana to build heat in the body. The second half will focus on soothing and deeply relaxing poses, as well as breathing techniques. Leave feeling nourished and refreshed. All levels welcome!

Quickie

Don’t have enough time? Come in for a 1-hour mixed level class and then step back into your urban life without missing a New York beat. Respond to daily obligations by rejuvenating and renewing yourself!

Seva Class- Donation Based

Seva is the practice of selfless service through compassion and love. Please join us for these donation based, mixed level classes. Suggested donation is $5-10.
